Psalm 118 stands at the center of the Hallel (Israel’s song of deliverance), marking moments when God’s people worshiped through triumph, danger, and uncertainty.

David recounts his battles and victories, each one pointing back to the Lord’s unchanging, steadfast love. But the psalm reaches its fullest meaning in Jesus, the true rejected stone, the Passover Lamb, the Light who steps into humanity’s darkness. In the midst of our own chaos and questions, this psalm urges us to see life through the same lens: the faithful love of God made real and certain in Jesus.
