This sermon reveals how every promise in Psalm 91 is first fulfilled in Christ Himself. He alone perfectly rested in the Father’s protection, even as Satan used this very psalm to tempt Him. Through Jesus’ absolute trust in the Father during suffering, rejection, temptation, and the cross, He secured a refuge that cannot be shaken. Now, through union with Him, we share in that very divine shelter where no evil can ultimately harm or rule over us.

Psalm 91 reminds us what it truly means to hide in the shadow of the cross, to walk as a serpent-crusher under Christ’s triumph, and to drink deeply from the only well that can satisfy the soul.
