In Psalm 73, Asaph faces a question every believer wrestles with at some point: Is walking with God really worth it when the wicked seem to be winning? After years of faithfulness, Asaph admits his envy of those who live in ease, free from pain or humility, and seemingly blessed with the very shalom: peace and wholeness, that God promises His people. His heart grows weary trying to make sense of it all.

Everything changes “when he enters the sanctuary of God.” In that sacred space, Asaph gains divine perspective, not by reasoning harder, but by drawing nearer to God.
