Psalms Series
The psalm calls us to pause and reflect- to practice the “Selah,” those holy moments of stillness when we remember who God is and what He has promised.
In a world that glorifies hurry and self-reliance, this psalm invites us to stop striving and rest in the unshakable truth: “Be still and know that I am God.”
The psalm walks us through three moments of stillness:
When creation shakes, God is our refuge.
In the city, God is present. On the battlefield, God commands, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
