Training Our Thoughts Sermon Series
Discontentment is one of the most common yet subtle struggles in the Christian life. We often chase satisfaction through changing our circumstances, but Paul teaches that contentment is learned through trusting Christ, not controlling outcomes.
In Philippians 4:10–13, Paul writes from prison, yet he rejoices, not in comfort or provision, but in the Lord Himself. His “secret” isn’t positive thinking or self-sufficiency; it’s full dependence on the strength of Christ. True contentment is a quiet, surrendered heart that believes God’s will is good, even when life feels uncertain.
